I've been interested in natural health for over 50 years. I've researched various diets and properties of food and nutrition, natural healing methods, and healthful exercise and activities.
I've studied essential oils since 2011 and am a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. I am an Advanced Healing Practitioner in the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry program. I have been studying Healing Touch since early 2012, and am currently working towards certification.
I'm also a Young Living distributor, so some of my blog posts and articles will be Young Living-specific. However, I am also researching oils from other companies that are not MLMs, and finding some very good ones out there.
I am a musician from a long line of musicians. I've learned in my various pursuits that everything that exists has a frequency of some sort. Music is based on frequencies, so therefore, to my thinking, everything that exists is music; we just are not able to hear all of it with our ears. But there are harmonies and discords all around us and inside us. When our body is in harmony with itself, we are healthy. When our life is in harmony - work, play, relationships - we are happy. I strive to find ways to help us all be in harmony with ourselves and our surroundings, so that we can all be healthy and happy. I do this through essential oils, through Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry and other healing modalities, and through music.
I currently live in the mountains of Colorado with my husband, four cats, and 21 chickens. I'm a displaced Texan. I'm a good cook and a lousy housekeeper. I love to play music, crochet, create and edit videos, and do some simple computer coding. I aspire to garden (not easy here at high altitude, on rock, with little water, and no talent or training for it).
I work daily to be a good follower of Christ; some days I do better than others, but the intent is there. If you're curious about how a former-Pagan/Buddhist/Baha'i/nothing-in-particular became a Christian, here is my story.
I provide Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry and energy healing sessions assisted by essential oils.
I have completed all the coursework and pre-exam requirements for the Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education (CARE) certification as a Certified Raindrop Practitioner, but have chosen not to take the exam or complete certification at this time. While I feel that the Raindrop Technique has benefited me as a recipient, and has benefited many others, in my studies for certification as a Clinical Aromatherapist I have found that it may pose some unnecessary risks for some people. Essential oils are very powerful substances, and for the majority of people the amounts used for a Raindrop session are simply not needed. I now use a safer, more gentle approach that is just as effective, but can certainly provide a Raindrop if it is called for.
I work in the Pikes Peak area of Colorado, with occasional trips to other areas in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. If you are interested in learning what Healing Touch or Essential Oils can do for you, please email me for more information or to set up an appointment.
Healing Touch is a relaxing, nurturing energy therapy that helps to restore and balance your body's energy. It involves working in the electrical field that surrounds your body to balance and restore the field, supporting your natural ability to heal. Gentle touch is used to assist in balancing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Some essential oils may be used during the course of the session. It is safe for all ages and works in harmony with standard medical care.
The Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry program (HTSM) grew out of the Healing Touch Program. Practitioners do healing ministry, prayer, hands-on healing, and anointing with oils from a Christian perspective. Like the work of the early apostles and disciples, Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry is spreading to churches, hospitals, hospices, massage schools, and retreat centers throughout the U.S. and in some foreign countries.
In a nutshell, aromatherapy is using essential oils. Pure, properly produced essential oils have been shown to provide benefit in many areas of our well-being. They are used for physical, mental, and spiritaul balancing and healing. Just using the oils does not make one an aromatherapist, however. Many hours of classes, research, and hands-on experience are required for that.
